Description: L'unité d'aménagement (UA) est une unité territoriale de référence qui s'applique aux territoires forestiers du domaine de l'État en vertu de l'article 13 de la Loi sur l'aménagement durable du territoire forestier (LADTF). On dénombre actuellement 57 UA sur le territoire forestier public québécois. La stratégie d'aménagement durable des forêts prévoit des orientations et des objectifs d’aménagement durable des forêts pour ce territoire forestier. Cette délimitation du territoire forestier a pour but de circonscrire des aires pour la production des ressources. Ainsi, le ministre peut accorder divers droits forestiers sur ce territoire, tels que des garanties d'approvisionnement (GA), des permis de récolte aux fins d'approvisionner une usine de transformation du bois marchand (PRAU), des permis de récolte aux fins d'approvisionner une usine de transformation du bois non marchand, c'est-à-dire de biomasse forestière (PRBIO), des permis d'érablière acéricole (production mixte), des baux de bleuetières, des permis de droits miniers (concessions minières) et des protections légales pour les forêts d'expérimentation (FE). Une nouvelle délimitation des UA est en vigueur depuis le 1er avril 2023.
